Luke 1:26-38
Mary was a carrier of the glory of God: She carried Jesus, the Emmanuel, in her womb. She did not even ask or pray for this honor, but God saw it fit to decorate her life with it. She was not the only lady or virgin in that place at that time. She was not a popular person or one from a wealthy family. It was all God’s favor and decision.
With these said, I am glad to announce to you that God will make you a carrier of His glory, like Mary.
Mary carried Emmanuel, “God with us”, (vs. 28) I prophesy into your life that the presence of God shall never depart from you in Jesus name. As the presence of God was with Joseph (son of Jacob) and made him a successful (Gen. 39:2) and favored person wherever he went, God’s presence shall remain with you to bring you success.
The Bible says that God “… is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” (Eph. 3:20). As Mary did not have to ask to carry God’s glory before she was honored to do so, it shall be unto you also, that even what you have not asked for shall be given to you miraculously.
God honors whomever He chooses, regardless of background
Yes, you may or may not be the only child of your parents, that is irrelevant to God when He wants to decorate you. He says, “And the LORD said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” – (Exo. 33:19).
Psalm 65:4 says, “Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.” I prophesy that the Lord will choose you for blessings in Jesus name.
Her characteristics:
She was upright, keeping herself pure. God knows our hearts and He is willing to favor one with a heart of purity. Mary was not the ‘sleeping around’ type. You and I too should keep ourselves holy unto the Lord at all times. “Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” – 1 Peter 1:16. May God help us.
She simply believed what the angel of God told her. Jesus wants us to believe in order to see His glory. “Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?” (John 11:40)
Conclusion:
If you accept Jesus to enter your heart, the presence of God will be with you, you will become highly favored and the carrier of the glory of God. Jesus is that glory of God that will Set you apart from all others. At first, when you carry Jesus, you may feel funny and want to deny or abort Him, since He is not popular among your friends, but if you let Him stay, He will beautify your life. When you carry Jesus, you become a problem solver – because He is the problem solver.
