God spoke to His friend Abraham, saying,

“That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;” (Gen. 22:17 KJB)

“I will certainly bless you. I will multiply your descendants beyond number, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will conquer the cities of their enemies.” (Gen. 22:17 NLT)

From this scripture, I see that a big part of God’s promise is that His friends will possess the gates of their enemies. “But thou, Israel art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend” (Isaiah 41:8)

Being that God only said this to His friend, it means that we must become friends with God in order for us to conquer the gates of the enemy. To become a friend of God is to start with obeying His voice and commandments.

“You are my friends if you do what I command” (John 15:14-15). His command is for us to love one another (John 15:9-17).

Pray that God will assist you to live a life of love – to love another. I see love here as a defense against the enemy who wants us to keep fighting so that we won’t enter God’s kingdom.

Another weapon that helps possess the gate of enemy is “numerous seeds.” In this, we are not limited to the number of biological children that come from our own loins, but also all people we have given birth to in the spiritual.

“You are my friends if you do what I command” (John 15:14). His command is for us to preach the gospel to all nations (Mat. 28:18-20). The more seeds we have, the more rewards and the more victory. I mean, the more souls you win for God, the more joy you bring to heaven. The more joy you bring to heaven, the more victory you have.

The more people we have who are praying for us, the more victorious we are.

Pray that God will give you good children that can defend you.

Pray that God will make your children (biological, spiritual, adopted, etc) be financially, morally and spiritual strong to always be there to defend you.

The gate:

The gate is where decisions are made: Wherever decisions are being made concerning you, you will prevail in Jesus name.

The gate is a place of security: The Lord will keep you secured from any danger in the mighty name of Jesus.

To possess the gate of the enemy is to

Overcome poverty; overcome sicknesses and diseases; overcome distractions and devises that lure us into sin and troubles; and finally to make it into God’s eternal Kingdom of peace.

I will conclude by saying Jesus is the true seed of God who really helps one to conquer enemies. Every one of us who accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior will win over the enemy. Jesus prevailed for us on the cross, so we too are guaranteed victory on every side. Jesus (the seed) said we should be of good cheers, He has overcome the world for us (John 6:33).

We are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us (Rom 8:37)

Pray that you may remain a friend of God so that the victory that is found in Christ Jesus may be yours.
