Over some time now, the Lord has been impressing upon my heart several pillars that sustain churches in order for them to stand and progress. Among the pillars are the Word of God, Prayer and Fasting, Soul-Winning and experiencing miracles and wonders.
In the gospel, Jesus says people will not believe unless they see signs and wonders (John 4:48). This means people will only believe if they see signs and wonders; Consequently, when people believe, the church will be increased numerically and stronger generally as people continue to receive nurturing though the word of God and the presence of the Holy spirit. As we read in the story, it was both the noble man and his entire household that believed when they saw signs and wonders (John 4:53). That’s instant numeric growth right there.
It is evident that the world is in need of miracles, signs and wonders; but Jesus is expecting the people in church to rise to this occasion. As a believer, you should begin to trust God to empower you with the ability to wrought miracles, signs and wonders – because the world is in need of it.
Promise of the power to do like Jesus:
Jesus said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Mark 16:17-18 KJV
Further, Jesus said in John 14:12 that we will do the same works He did and even greater ones.
He gave the power to do what He promised:
The bible says Jesus gave His disciples the power to go out and solve problems (Mark 6:7, 13; Luke 9:1-2).
I command that you too shall receive power in Jesus name. Go and heal the sick in Jesus name. Go and set the captives free. You shall no longer be afraid in Jesus name.
Fulfillment of the Jesus’ word:
In Acts 5:12-16 – the disciples were performing miracles, healing the sick and casting out demons
In Acts 6:7-8 – it is recorded that Stephen was “full of grace and power, was performing great wonders and signs among the people.”
In Acts 8:4-8, Philip performed many miracles in Samaria and this brought joy
Acts 19:11 says, “And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:”
You also shall receive power that will set people free from sicknesses, diseases, oppressions and various hardship of life. I pray that the power of the Lord will fill your life in Jesus name.
As it was in to beginning (in the days of the disciples when the world had so many problems to be solved), so it is now that today’s problems are enough for it and the world is waiting for your manifestation and my manifestation to solve their problems. May you receive power to be a solution in Jesus name.
When people are being liberated, the church will flourish.
As you make yourself available for God to use you, He will endow you with power. Pray now for power.
