“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” – Luke 2:10
It is my pleasure to begin this day by giving glory to God through the name of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, who has called you and me from darkness into His marvelous light. It is this same Jesus that my grandfather preached; then my father, and now me. Yet this Jesus continues to remain true. In fact it is not only my family members that have preached Him, all over the world a great many preachers talk about Jesus moment after moment and from generation to generation, yet He is new everyday. What an awesome God He is got to be!
I want to talk about this Jesus again in this write up and still His awesomeness cannot be exhausted by any writer, preacher, historian or other; a man you can never finish talking about – the Savior of all mankind Himself. The man who when He enters into your life, you become new and hopeful. He is the man who saved me when I was seventeen years old. Of course I still messed up after my initial contact with Him but His loving kindness and mercies keeps renewing me.
Wait a minute Pastor Abraham, is this article about you? No, it is not. It is about the man who called me out of darkness and ignorance into knowledge and light. It is the good tidings (news) of this Jesus that I bring to you again today.
The bible helps us to know that an angel came to announce the birth of Jesus to some shepherds. He said to them, And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” (Luke 2:10). The greatest part of this is that the news is good, it is intended to bring great joy and the joy is meant for all people. JESUS BRINGS JOY AND HE IS MEANT FOR ALL PEOPLE, this is good news. Jesus did not come for my family or yours alone, but all families and individuals that will receive Him.
Jesus came to bring you and me from darkness into His marvelous light, by His mercies (1 Peter 2:10). That’s good tidings. This brings great joy to us, but the beauty of it is that He did the same for all mankind. This leaves us with no room to boast, hallelujah. This is the UNIVERSAL LOVE of Christ, amazing.
This universal love is reflected in John 3:16 which says WHOSOEVER believes in Him will not perish.
Alleluia, if you Haitian or African, American or European; Caribbean or Latino; it does not matter who you are or where you come from, Jesus Christ, the good news, the life changer, the salvation giver is for you. See Rom. 10:12
Alleluia, the love of Jesus is universal; it is not only members of our church that will be saved. It is WHOSOEVER believes in Him. Jesus is not about denomination. In fact, He said He has so many others outside of your congregation that He will bring, so that all of us will become one (John 10:16). Therefore let all of us be sober and humble in the salvation we have received. Jesus’s love is universal. It is for all people who come to Him. Alleluia, Jesus’s news is a good one and it is for all people.
Therefore, you cannot afford to count yourself out of this great joy. Accept Jesus, the man of good news. Live for Him and you’ll find a solace in Him. He will come and give you rest. He did not come to judge you, He only came to bring you joy by dying for you on the cross. Judgment is only reserved till later for those who reject the good news. Please do not wait for judgment; you won’t have a lawyer (because He is the only advocate that can plead cases before God). Give Him a chance now.
If you have already accepted Jesus, make sure that nothing takes away from you what you already have.
